ALBANY, Georgia – Memories of 2011 championship run are still fresh, but the League Champion Albany Panthers are already focused on bringing another championship title to Albany and Georgia in 2012. To that end, the Panthers will get a look at the best talent the southeast has to offer when they hold the first offseason tryouts on Saturday, October 22 at Silverbacks Sports Center in Suwanee, Georgia.

“We had great success in 2011 with our open tryouts,” said Panthers head coach Lucious Davis, “We are looking for a few diamonds in the rough to come out and help contribute to another possible championship run.”

The tryouts will consist of a 40-yard dash, short shuttle, individual drills, and 1-on-1’s. Additional position-specific drills will be conducted and supervised by Panther position coaches. Registration fee is $50 for the day of the tryout.

Tryouts will begin at 10:00 a.m. with registration opening at 9:00. Registrants should bring cash, which will be accepted on site. The Silverbacks Sports Center, located at 4285 Brogdon Exchange NE in Suwanee, Georgia, will have restrooms and changing areas available.
